ESPN2 to rebroadcast Sunday's final eliminations from Joliet: ESPN2 will
re-air their coverage of this weekend's final eliminations at Route 66
Raceway from 3:00 - 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14.

* This was the 34th NHRA national event win of Kurt Johnson's

list with Jeg Coughlin. Kurt's father, six-time NHRA Pro Stock champion
Warren Johnson has 96 career wins to lead the category.

* This was Kurt's second win at Route 66 Raceway. KJ's previous
win in Joliet came in 2003, when he defeated Jeg Coughlin in the final.

* This was KJ's second win of the year. He has now recorded
multiple national event wins in 10 of his 14 years in NHRA Pro Stock
competition.

* This was Kurt's sixth win from the sixth starting position.
Ironically, his other 2006 win in Las Vegas, NV also came from the sixth
spot.

* This was Kurt Johnson's 64th career final round appearance, third
of the 2006 season and his second final at Route 66 Raceway.

* By making it to the final in Joliet, KJ appeared in back-to-back
final rounds for the 12th time in his career, having scored a runner-up
finish in Topeka, KS two weeks ago. In addition, he has gone to three
consecutive finals on one occasion (1999 Phoenix-Gainesville-Houston),
and four straight finals twice (most recently in 2005).

* KJ's 6.646-second elapsed time in the final round against Greg
Anderson was a career best, eclipsing his previous mark of 6.663
seconds, recorded last October in Dallas, TX, by almost two hundredths
of a second.

* Johnson's performance propelled him to fourth in the POWERade
Championship Standings, a remarkable turnaround from his 17th position
following the ACDelco Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL.
