                                        Neon Dion dialed in on short tracks!

 

(6/12/2006 Milwaukee, WI) Neon Dion Hindi and Team RealTruck.com has had
some good success this season on the short tracks.  Coming off what could
have easily been two top 10 finishes at the ultra fast 1/3 mile at Eagle,
Hindi is optimistic about Powercom.  Friday night at Eagle saw the
RealTruck.com/Sniper Tuning #11D J&J start 24th and within 5 laps was up to
14th using the high line.  Unfortunately for Hindi he was caught up in
accident in turn 1 not of his own making and relegated to a 23rd place
finish.  Saturday night would see much better results, starting with
qualifying 14th and walking off with his heat race.  In the feature Hindi
would climb to 10th and remain there until a battle with the #1 car would
have them spinning.  No damage was done but it would force Hindi to the tail
of the field.  Another incident involving the Wild Child saw Dion just slip
past with no damage and climb in the closing laps from 18th to a finish of
13th.  This season Hindi's best finishes have come on the short tracks.

 

"It's nice to know we have our short track program together." Said Hindi.
"We missed the gear on night one at Eagle and did not qualify very well and
ended up in the "B" and had to come through the pack.  When you do that your
subject to other peoples messes.  Night 2 we were on!  I knew when we
started from the Pole in the heat we were headed to the "A".  The car was
dead on.  Unfortunately in the feature, he got a little inpatient and ran
over our right rear.  I let that bother me for a few laps and then Jac
(Haudenschild) flipped right in front of me, I actually closed my eyes for a
second because I knew were going to hit him but came right through it.
After that I basically said you have the car to get up front so get to it.
We ran out of laps, the rubber was down and we had the set up dead on."
