CALIFORNIA PAVEMENT FOCUS MIDGETS BACK IN ACTION SATURDAY; VEACH BROTHERS GO
1-2

INDIANAPOLIS – Michael Faccinto and the rest of the USAC California Ford
Focus Pavement gang continue their assault on the season Saturday at
Altamont Raceway Park in Tracy, Calif., the site of the third race of the
season.

Faccinto, a Focus rookie, leads the points after his victory June 3 at
Madera Speedway in California, 18 ahead of second-place Tim Skoglund.

Chasing them in the points is a pair of brothers who seem to have the Dirt
division down pat. Livermore, Calif. natives Cameron and Chris Veach
finished 1-2 Saturday at Ventura Raceway in California, the first time in
Ford Focus history brothers swept the top two positions. Cameron Veach
passed Brett Engstrom on Lap 3 and led the rest of the 14-lap event, besting
his brother, Nick Carlson, Engstrom and Brian Camarillo.

Eight-place finisher Bobby Michnowicz still leads the point standings by 15
over Cameron Veach.
