Back in April, we told you that the Mercedes AMG website was
nominated in the tenth annual Webby Awards as one of the internet's
preeminent "Automotive" websites.
Today, the Webby Awards were presented, and after clearly
demonstrating its vast superiority when compared to the other
contestants, the Mercedes AMG website was named victor in its
respective field, proving once and for that the Mercedes AMG website
kicks every other automotive website's ass.
The Webby Awards, considered by many to be the Oscars of the web, are
held by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
Winners are selected based on their outstanding achievement in the
field of web design, creativity, usability and functionality, with
judging resting in the hands of the academy, a 550-plus membership
organization that includes numerous prominent figures such as Virgin-
founder Richard Branson and "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening.
This year, over 5500 web sites were nominated in the 69 categories of
the Webby Awards, with topics including cars, fashion, music,
politics, sports and lifestyle.
