Avenue A/Razorfish Wins Prestigious Webby Award for Design and Development of Mercedes-AMG Website

SEATTLE--June 12, 2006--Avenue A | Razorfish, the largest interactive agency and an operating unit of aQuantive, Inc. , today announced it has won a Webby Award for the design and development of the Mercedes-AMG website, www.mercedes-amg.com. The 10th Annual Webby Awards ceremony Gala will take place at 6:30 p.m. on June 12th at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Reflecting the diversity of the Internet, the winners range from blue-chips to bloggers and represent the best work of major ad agencies, organizations and indy upstarts.

According to Scott Preacher, vice president of Avenue A | Razorfish East and head of the Atlanta office, "Our goal was to create immersive experiences that build an emotional connection between the Mercedes AMG brand and automotive enthusiasts."

The site takes drivers on a journey to the exclusive Affalterbach, Germany facility and delivers a unique interactive experience -- one that invites users to immerse themselves in the world of AMG automobiles. A team of 15 from Avenue A | Razorfish worked to create a unique and original look for the German based facilities of Mercedes-AMG. The site design and handling mirrors the AMG racing driver experience.

"AMG is a rarefied brand, and the cars are extraordinary machines," said Avenue A | Razorfish Executive Creative Director Joseph Crump. "We wanted the site to pay deep respect to the experience of driving these gorgeous cars, and to give the cult of people who covet the brand something to talk about."

Proclaimed "the online equivalent of an Oscar," The Webby Awards are the leading international honors for websites and the innovators behind them. The 10th Annual Webby Awards boasts a record 60 international nominees from all over the world including sites from Australia, India, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States. Nominees were named in more than 65 categories, ranging from lifestyle favorites like fashion, politics, and social networking to business service categories banking, employment, and real estate. Over 600 winners, industry leaders and celebrities will attend the award ceremony in New York City. For the second year in a row, Bob Corddry of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will emcee the festivities.
