Jaguar Selected to Appear on ''The Global Learning Series''
IRVINE, Calif. & BOCA RATON, Fla.--June 12, 2006--Jaguar, has recently been invited on "The Global Learning Series" and is sponsoring educational programming this summer on the program airing on public television stations throughout the United States. In addition to this, their legendary juxtaposition of old world craftsmanship and modern technology, has been highlighted on several cable television stations throughout the United States, and on Voice of America programming internationally.Jaguar designed its 2004 XJ and 2007 XK to impress, not only with its mastery of advanced aluminum architectures and elegant style, but also with its commitment to reducing the cost of repairs for the sedan and sport coupe.
The latest versions of both vehicles trade traditional steel for aluminum. The manufacturing cost is substantially higher for aluminum, but the strong lightweight metal offers safety advantages and significant savings in fuel economy and other environmental considerations. Moreover, the XJ and XK's designs aim to reduce collision repair cost and complexity through innovative component packaging to minimize insurance rates for vehicle owners.
"We are very excited about partnering with Jaguar to educate both the business community and the public about important trends in the blending of luxury and automotive technology," explained John McGuire, Senior Producer of Programming for "The Global Learning Series."
