Line No. 8 at Route 66 Raceway

JOLIET, Ill. (June 10, 2006) – Jason Line, who drives the Summit Racing
Equipment Pontiac for KB Racing LLC, covered the Route 66 Raceway
quarter-mile track in Joliet, Ill., in 6.669 seconds to finish an
abbreviated qualifying format in the No. 8 spot for tomorrow’s
eliminations for the NHRA CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals.

Persistent rain has been the only winner during qualifying for the NHRA
CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals. After three qualifying sessions, NHRA
made a decision to cancel the final qualifying session for all
professional classes.

Line's first national event victory and first No. 1 qualifying award
were both accomplished at the Route 66 Raceway quarter-mile in 2004.
Also in 2004, Line's 208.17 mph run last fall is the fastest ever by a
Pontiac GTO in NHRA Pro Stock competition, again at the Route 66 Raceway
quarter-mile.

Additionally, consider the fact that Line has more national event wins
at this race track than any other Pro Stock driver – three. Back when
Route 66 Raceway hosted two events annually, Line won twice at the
spring event and once at the fall race, so you can see why Line must be
considered a favorite for the Pro Stock title tomorrow.

In the opening round, Line will square off against V. Gaines, who
qualified No. 9, with a pass of 6.678 second.

Line and his KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO
begin his quest for the CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals Pro Stock title on
Sunday, June 11, with eliminations for all classes beginning at 11 a.m.
*All times are local Chicago time (CT) and subject to change at anytime. *
