UAW Constitutional Convention June 12-15 at MGM Grand Convention Center, Las Vegas
The 34th UAW Constitutional Convention will be Monday, June 12, through Thursday, June 15, at the MGM Grand Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
Approximately 1,300 delegates elected at the local union level will meet to debate and adopt resolutions on public policy and union issues.
The convention opens at 10 a.m. (Pacific Time), Monday, June 12; all other plenary sessions will start at 9 a.m.
UAW President Ron Gettelfinger will address the convention Monday morning.
On Wednesday, June 14, delegates will elect International Union officers - - president, secretary-treasurer and five vice presidents -- and regional directors representing each of the UAW's 11 regions. The newly-elected officers and regional directors will be installed Thursday, June 15.

Press credentials may be picked up at the UAW Public Relations office in Room 301 (third floor) of the MGM Grand Convention Center from noon-5 p.m. Sunday, June 11, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. To receive credentials, press must show a photo ID issued by their news organization, or a driver's license or passport, and a letter from their editor, news director or bureau chief on the news organization's letterhead.
