UGN, Inc. Receives Honda Quality Performance Award

TINLEY PARK, Ill., June 7 -- UGN, Inc. is being honored with the 2006 Honda Quality Performance Award. UGN is one of 31 suppliers to receive the award out of 450 companies that supply components and parts to Honda. As one of Honda's original suppliers, UGN supplies acoustic and interior trim products to all Honda vehicle platforms, supporting production in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Honda Quality Performance Award recognizes excellence at all of UGN's facilities, and honors UGN as Honda's top supplier of acoustic and interior trim products. The award also recognizes UGN as a supplier with above average delivery. Honda representatives will be traveling to UGN's facility in Valparaiso, Ind. in June to present the award to UGN team members.

"We are honored to be recognized as one of Honda's top suppliers for the second time," said Peter Anthony, president and CEO of UGN. "This award indicates our continuous commitment to provide quality products, while giving our customers complete satisfaction."

Headquartered in Tinley Park, Ill., UGN was incorporated in 1986 as a joint venture between Rieter Automotive Systems and Nihon Tokushu Toryo (Nittoku). Rieter's innovative leadership and theoretical acoustics combined with advanced manufacturing processes and quality system design by Nittoku have established UGN as a preferred supplier of acoustic, interior trim and thermal management products to the Japanese transplant automotive industry in North America.
