NEXTEL Cup Rookie David Stremme to Pilot Coors Light Dodge at
Pocono ARCA Event
CONCORD, N.C. (June 2, 2006) --- Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates
announced today NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series rookie David Stremme will drive
the No. 40 Coors Light Dodge in the ARCA/ReMax event on Saturday, June
10 at Pocono Raceway.
"I am looking forward to running the ARCA Race in Pocono," Stremme said.
"This will be my first time at Pocono and so the more seat time the
better. I am excited that Chip Ganassi and Felix Sabates are giving me
the chance to race the ARCA race and get familiar with the track. It is
great to see Coors Light on the car, they have been a great sponsor for
me this season on the Cup car and I appreciate all the support they have
given me in my rookie season."
Stremme has made 15 starts in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and he is
currently 38th in the championship points standings. He recently had
his highest starting position of fourth at Darlington Raceway and at
Texas Motor Speedway in April he finished 21st, his highest finish of
the season. In July 2005 Stremme made his NEXTEL Cup debut at
Chicagoland Speedway where he had his highest career finish of 16th.
The ARCA 200 is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast
LIVE on PEE Channel.
