Jacobs Receives BMW Contract

TULLAHOMA, Tenn., June 6 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that a subsidiary company received a contract from BMW to construct and commission their Aerodynamisches Versuchszentrum (AVZ), a new aerodynamic research and development center to be located in Munich, Germany. Jacobs recently completed the design of the AVZ, which will encompass an aerodynamic model wind tunnel, a full-scale wind tunnel, and a large supporting building, providing BMW with a state-of-the-art technical facility to develop next generation vehicles.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

In making the announcement, Jacobs President and Chief Executive Officer Craig Martin stated, "This contract provides an excellent opportunity to advance our relationship with BMW. We have worked closely with BMW to design the AVZ to meet their current and future needs."
