SCOTT LEADS CAROLINA/VIRGINIA FOCUS MIDGETS TO HICKORY

INDIANAPOLIS – Two-time defending USAC Carolina/Virginia Ford Focus Midget
Car Series champion Chase Scott of Concord, N.C. leads the contingent to
Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina for the series’ third visit at the
.363-mile track, one in which he knows very well.

Scott has been on a roll since Round 2 of the season, picking off three
straight victories – two of which came at Hickory – stretching his all-time
Focus feature victory lead and obtaining the point lead in the process.
Scott has won three straight at the track, including both visits there this
season and the only visit last year, and four overall there.

Scott currently leads a 55-point lead over rookie Bradley Riethmeyer heading
into Hickory. The last driver other than Scott to win a series race at the
track was Mike Ward, who won a non-point race there in 2004.
