VENTURA UP SATURDAY FOR CALIFORNIA DIRT FOCUS MIDGETS; FACCINTO WINS AT
MADERA

INDIANAPOLIS – The USAC California Ford Focus Dirt Midget Car Series
continues Saturday at Ventura Raceway in California as the 1/5-mile track
hosts its fifth straight series event.

Four different winners – Keith Janca, Cameron Veach, Bobby Michnowicz and
Thomas Gray – have graced Victory Lane in those four outings, binding
together a close run for the point championship as the series reaches the
halfway point.

Michnowicz, who also owns a victory at Bakersfield Speedway in California –
the only other track on the schedule – leads Janca by 20 points and Veach by
31 markers.

Michael Faccinto won last Saturday’s 30-lap feature for the Pavement
division, leading the final 10 laps after taking the lead from Levi Roberts,
who finished second. Trailing were Tim Skoglund, Jace Meier and Laura
Poorter.

By virtue of his victory and fast qualifying attempt, Faccinto broke a tie
with point leader Chris Veach and holds an 18-point lead over Skoglund
heading into the June 17 race at Altamont Raceway Park in Tracy, Calif.
