Thursday's Daytona Prototype practice sessions and Friday's quaIifying ses- sions were canceled as the result of a legal caw involving Krohn Racing (see grandamericanmrn) . The starting line-up for Saturday's race was set by the current point standings, which puts the Feeds the NeedDoran Racing DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77 in 13th spot. Terry brcheller of Vero Beach, Fla. and Harrison Brix of San Jose, CalF. will drive the car, which carries the colors of the Kadak EasyShare System, Amp'd Mobile and SIRIUS. Brix is slated to start the raw, sharing row seven with Christian Fittipaldi as the field of 46 takas the green flag and heads into turn one for the first time. Both Borcheller and Brix recorded laps during the three practice sessions Friday: one from 1:15 p.m. to 1 :45 p-m.; one from 4:15 p.m. to 5 pm.; and one from 6 p.m. until 8 pm. The car's fastest lap run Friday on the Glen's 3.37-mile, 11-turn road course was Borcheller's 146.821 for an average speed of 114.799 miles per hour, making it 12th overall for the day- The taam was 12th in its first practice session with a 1:48.506 (112.805 mph) set on its fourth lap. It was 14th in the second session with a 1 M.475(112.837 mph) set on its eighth lap.
