NASCAR #23 KCR Chevrolet

Montgomery joins KCR
Eddyville, Ky. – Keith Coleman Racing has announced the hiring of NASCAR veteran Keith Montgomery as Crew Chief on the #23 KCR Chevrolet.

Montgomery’s resume includes names like Sadler Motorsports and Petty Enterprises. In more than 15 years in the sport he has worked in virtually every aspect of the sport including owner, driver, crew chief, spotter and consultant as well as many other duties.

“I’m excited to be on board at KCR,” said Montgomery. “The team has a bright future and we’re excited about returning to the track next week in Nashville.”

Montgomery is a native of Burlington N.C. and has one daughter, Christian Blair, who will turn 18 next month. He says the thought of winning a championship remains the ultimate goal.

“I want to be a part of a team that works to be successful in racing, is winning races and has a chance to win a championship,” he explained.

Ronnie Griffin will remain with the team as Car Chief.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am to have Keith at KCR,” said Keith Coleman, team owner. “Ronnie did everything we asked him to do and this is no reflection on him, but when you have a chance to add someone to your team who has the credentials Keith has, you have to do it. He brings a wealth of experience that is going to be vital as we go forward.”

The team will announce the new driver next week.
