Diesel Hot Rod Association (DHRA) Announces Indiana Diesel Nationals

REDKEY, Ind.--June 2, 2006--One of the fastest growing spectator sports in the U.S., DHRA racing, is in full growth mode. The Indiana Diesel Nationals scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 24-25 in Brownsburg, IN is expected to have record crowds, close to 15,000, at the Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP) this year. This two-day event will feature some of the most exciting events in the U.S. designed for diesel light and medium duty trucks.

Top on the list is the DHRA Pro Diesel Shootout Drag Racing Series sponsored by ATS Diesel Performance. This event brings together the quickest street legal diesels in the nation providing four competitive classes of competition: Street Diesel (brackets), Pro-Street, Quick Diesel, and Top Diesel Exhibition. The Geno's Garage Show and Shine event awards prizes for diesels with the finest, standout appearance. The Edge Products Burnout and the Edge E.T. Bracket Race is a perfect arena for amateur competitors with a need for speed and a competitive edge. And without a doubt one of the most watched events is sponsored by Xtreme Truck and Trailer. The DHRA DieselPower(TM) Sled Pulling Series offers four categories for competition: Work Stock, Street Diesel, Super Street and Modified Diesel trucks. The kids will love watching a street trimmed diesel yank a 30,000 pound sled down a 300-foot track.

New to the Nationals is the Do My Diesel Raffle. One lucky attendee to the event will have the opportunity to have their diesel truck modified at the event with the coolest performance and appearance products. Simply go online to www.dhraonline.com to enter. Or sign up to become a DHRA National Featured Club with special VIP parking and other privileges.

Admission for adults is $30 for a two-day pass. Children, 16 years of age and younger, are free all day. Saturday only admission for adults is $20 and Sunday only adult admission is $15. The gate opens both days for spectators at 10:00 a.m. and participants may enter either day at 9:00 a.m.
