Clear Channel Taxi Media, a division of Clear Channel Outdoor , today announced the launch of taxi top advertising in the city of Chicago. Over 2,300 taxis in the Chicago area will be outfitted with taxi top advertising displays with the first displays hitting the streets of Chicago as of 12:01 a.m. CDT.
Clear Channel Taxi Media offers an alternative out-of-home platform that reaches the daily consumer on the go in the hard-to-reach core center city and airport corridors. Chicago is the latest market to join the growing taxi top advertising initiative which gives advertisers the advantage of having their message delivered to consumers 24 hours a day, 7 days week. Advertisers who have already signed on include All State, McDonald's, Washington Mutual, Chicago Job's and TCF Bank, among many others.

In addition to rooftop advertising displays, the city of Chicago also has permitted door panel wrap advertising, the first of its kind in the United States. Advertisers include WNUA-FM, a Chicago radio station, Shedd Aquarium and Union Whiskey.
