NASCAR Drivers Test West Series Cars at Infineon Raceway
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Drivers Visit
Infineon Raceway for West Series Test Session
WHAT:
Infineon Raceway will host a test for the NASCAR Grand National
Division, AutoZone West Series. A few NASCAR NEXTEL Cup regulars will
participate in the West Series test session in advance of the upcoming
Dodge/Save Mart 350 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup weekend, June 23-25.
The West Series drivers will take part in the Blue Lizard Suncream 200,
scheduled for Saturday, June 24, of the Dodge/Save Mart 350 NASCAR
NEXTEL Cup weekend.
WHEN:
Tuesday, June 6: Testing 8:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 7: Testing
8:30-3 p.m. (All times Pacific).
WHERE:
Infineon Raceway, Highways 37 & 121, Sonoma, CA 95476.
WHO:
NEXTEL Cup drivers scheduled to participate in the test are:
* Carl Edwards (No. 99 Office Depot Ford)
* Reed Sorenson (No. 41 Target Dodge)
Both NEXTEL Cup regulars will test in West Series cars, as the NASCAR
NEXTEL Cup Series does not allow a formal test session at Infineon
Raceway.
IN ADDITION:
Vacaville resident Jim Inglebright will also participate in the test
session. He is scheduled to drive the Jelly Belly Chevrolet during the
Blue Lizard Suncream 200 at Infineon Raceway on June 24.
