Porsche Cars North America Reports Sales for Canada; Boxster/Cayman Series Drive Sales
ATLANTA--June 1, 2006--Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced sales for May in Canada. 269 new cars in May nearly equaled last year's record month of 276, a percentage drop of 3 percent.For the year so far, Porsche has recorded sales of 922, which is one car ahead of 2005's pace at this time last year. 2005 was Porsche's best sales year in Canada in the company's history. Again in May, sales of Boxster/Cayman series contributed significantly to Porsche's performance in Canada with combined sales of 118 for the month versus 69 in 2005, an increase of 71 percent.
In addition, dealers in Canada sold 35 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles in May, compared to 32 for the same period last year.
