* Sprint Employees Lend a Helping Hand

Employees from the Sprint Customer Care Center in Charlotte, N.C.,
recently participated in a work day at Victory Junction Gang Camp in
Randleman, N.C. Forty-three Sprint employees took a bus to the location
a few hours north of Charlotte and helped by painting, building beds,
moving materials and many other chores to assist the camp staff prepare
for the next group of kids. Each participant, plus all Victory Junction
Gang Camp staff members, were given tickets to the NASCAR NEXTEL
All-Star Challenge as a "thank you" for their hard work.

The NASCAR-themed sleep-away camp was the brainchild of the famous Petty
family to honor the late Adam Petty. Children with chronic illnesses
visit the camp for a week or weekend and participate in games,
team-building exercises, talent shows and much more. Since becoming the
title sponsor of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, Sprint Nextel has
actively supported the camp through many avenues. In addition to
employee work days, Sprint Nextel has built a cell tower on site,
pledged $1 million over 10 years, loaned phones for use at the camp and
has recently donated 1.5 million airline miles to transport kids to
camp.
