TTXPlan - A High-Level FlexRay Design and Scheduling Tool

VIENNA, Austria--June 1, 2006--TTAutomotive, TTTech's subsidiary for FlexRayTM solutions, has released the first version of its high-level TTXPlan FlexRay development tool. This tool is particularly well-suited for automotive applications. It provides developers with an efficient means to design FlexRay networks.

TTXPlan combines the advantages of both, manual scheduling methods and automatic scheduling. It supports mixed manual and automatic scheduling as well as incremental scheduling, thus enabling developers to utilize spare areas in frames without changing any of the previously defined allocations. TTXPlan's abilities add flexibility to the development process and further shorten the development cycle.

Developers can graphically view the generated schedule by using TTXPlan's versatile and powerful schedule viewer. It provides both an overview area and a magnifier area, in which parts of the schedule are displayed in great detail. Both areas are visible at the same time. The schedule viewer also allows searching for and highlighting specific signals and frames.

TTXPlan enables the developer to check the FlexRay communication specification for consistency. It validates user-specified input parameters against implicit requirements from the FlexRay specification and against the generated FlexRay schedule.

TTXPlan can import from and export to FIBEX, which is the industry-standard exchange format for describing networks. In addition, TTXPlan provides full support of the AUTOSAR packet data unit (PDU) concept.

By using TTXPlan for FlexRay development projects customers benefit from the precise interface specification gained from this tool, as well as from its capability to integrate smoothly into the existing development process and vehicle networks database. This contributes to lower development costs and shorter time-to-market.
