Jaguar Japan to Launch New XK in July
TOKYO June 1, 2006; Japan Today reported that Jaguar Japan said Wednesday it will launch the restyled XK luxury sports car on July 1 in the Japanese market, targeting mainly male customers in their 30s with 30 million yen in annual income.
The new XK features a 4.2-liter engine and a lightweight aluminum body. It also adopts a system that can help absorb shocks to a human body during collisions, the Japanese company said. The new car will come in two types — a two-door coupe with a price tag of at least 11.3 million yen and a two-door convertible priced from 12.3 million yen.
