No April Fooling - Delphi Reports $192 MILLION Loss
CHICAGO, May 31, 2006; Reuters reported that already bankrupt auto parts maker Delphi Corp. said that it had a $192 million loss for April 2006, in a limited report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Delphi, whose U.S. units filed for bankruptcy last October, reported total net sales for the month of nearly $1.36 billion, including $761 million to former parent General Motors Corp. and its affiliates.
In the report, Troy, Michigan-based Delphi said professional fees directly related to the reorganization totaled $11 million in April and have totaled about $70 million since the start of the Chapter 11 reorganization on Oct. 8.
