New, Innovative Spray Guns Are Poised to Revolutionize Industry; Break-Through Advances in Airflow Technology Create Environmental and Bottom-Line Savings

SEATTLE--May 31, 2006--DUX, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of three innovative spray guns offering the first technological advances to industrial coatings equipment in over 80 years. By saving their customers at least 15-40% of coatings costs, the company is building an impressive list of US-based manufacturers who have adopted the DUX technology, including industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin, Stickley Furniture, SnugTop Custom Fibreglass, Manufacturing Co., General Dynamics Electric Boat and Evergreen Air Center, Inc.

DUX was founded in January 2004 and for the past two years has been researching, developing and testing new advances in spray coating equipment. The three resulting products dramatically reduce the amount of "overspray" and booth fog created by typical spray guns, saving customers costs and improving the work environment.

"For decades industrial spray painters have had to endure old spray technology; heavy, difficult to use equipment; and hazardous work environments due to excessive overspray and paint booth fog," said Kevin Kelley, DUX, Inc. President and CEO. "The High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) systems on the market today are still employing outdated technology that is not as efficient as the DUX guns. The industry suffers from massive amounts of wasted material and wasted money due to the poor air flow technology, while sending unnecessary pollution into the air.

"Today that all changes," Kelley continued. "DUX was founded on the premise that the spray finishing industry deserves better, and we're committed to giving our customers a superior product that saves them money while improving their finish quality and working environments for their painters."

Industry estimates the market size for industrial spray equipment to be $1 billion annually. According to Kelley, given the rapid pay-back customers are experiencing with DUX products, the company believes the market for its products could quickly expand as customers choose to replace less efficient, older equipment.

Product suite offers flexibility, proven cost savings

DUX products are built on advanced airflow technology originally developed to optimize the performance of Formula Three racing engines. This has produced the first improvements to spray gun technology in decades. Features of the DUX product line include:

-- Dramatic transfer efficiency improvements which allow customers to reduce coatings usage and costs by an average of 15-40%.

-- Significantly reduced overspray which creates a healthier work environment, and allows for faster clean-up.

-- Reduced disposal costs and less use of air filters and other consumable items containing hazardous waste.

-- An operator-friendly design -balanced, easy-to-use products that are the lightest weight in their classes.

-- Flexibility which allows one gun to be used for multiple applications and with a wide range of coating viscosities and solids content.

-- Meets or exceeds all U.S. and international air quality standards related to air spray equipment.

DUX Area Inc.'s three coatings products are:

-- DUX Pressure Feed - Typically used in industrial environments where large quantities of coatings are sprayed throughout the day, this product receives both atomizing air and fluid through the base of the gun for better balance and ease of use.

-- DUX Gravity Feed - Used when smaller quantities of coating or more frequent material changes are required, this version of the DUX spray gun is designed with a center mounted fluid cup and a shorter barrel then all competing guns. This also allows it to fit into tight spaces while maintaining a balanced and lightweight feel for the operator.

-- DUX Automatic - Used with robotic applicators or reciprocators, this version of the DUX gun is mounted directly to automated spray equipment. Its compact design results in a nearly 25% reduction in weight over other similar automatic guns, resulting in less wear and tear on robotics equipment.

In the first six months of sales, leading manufacturers have adopted the DUX technology. As a result, these customers are realizing 15-40% savings in material usage as well as a reduction in the cost of booth filters and hazardous waste disposal.

According to Kelley, customers are citing the product's cost savings, finish quality, ease-of-use and environmental benefits as key factors influencing their purchasing decisions.

"The DUX Gun is the first truly new gun the industry has ever seen," said Larry Boville, Jr., owner of Boville Industrial Coatings, Inc. in Smithville, OH, one of the first to adopt the DUX technology. "Every other gun on the market is simply a modified version of a previous design. While other manufacturers seem to be trying to cut corners to cut their own costs, DUX is putting out a truly high-end product that so far has saved us between 15-30% on our coating usage."
