Avery Tapped To Lead Sales Efforts For Online Vehicle
Exchange
ATLANTA May 31, 2006; Susie Avery has been named vice president of customer
relations for Online Vehicle Exchange (OVE), the largest virtual
marketplace for dealer-to-dealer and commercial consignor business
transactions that occur outside of the physical wholesale auto auctions.
Avery brings more than 15 years of sales, sales management and online
auction experience to the newly created position, most recently serving
as national sales director for OVE. She will be responsible for
managing several key areas of the organization, including commercial
accounts, large accounts, dealer accounts and field sales, and will
report to OVE President and CEO Jim McKnight.
"Susie has proven herself in the past with exceptional results," said
McKnight. "She has the unique ability not only to understand customer
needs, but also to motivate her team to meet those needs. Building
sustainable relationships with our customers - from commercial accounts
to dealers and wholesalers - and giving them world-class service will be
critical to our continued growth. Susie and her team are the key to
that."
McKnight added that the coordination of relationships among all of OVE's
customers is another area under Avery's new role, and that successfully
connecting those customers will create momentum and positive energy in
the upstream and midstream remarketing markets.
Before joining OVE in 2004, Avery was a national sales director for
Manheim dealer sales. Prior to that, she held various sales and
management positions at Autotrader.com, Landmark Newspapers and car
dealerships. Avery is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk,
Va.
About Online Vehicle Exchange
Online Vehicle Exchange (OVE) is the largest virtual marketplace for
dealer-to-dealer and commercial consignor business transactions that
occur outside of the physical wholesale auto auctions. OVE provides
buyers and sellers with a secure environment in which to conduct
business 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The site gives sellers the
ability to remarket their vehicles earlier in the remarketing cycle -
and throughout the cycle - while buyers are able to see, compare and
purchase vehicles without leaving their dealerships. Since its launch
in 2005, OVE has gone from zero transactions to an average of more than
1,200 vehicle transactions a week. OVE is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Manheim.
