RINGERS GLOVES RACING ROUND-UP

summer heat of June, July and August, the prime racing months.

Park Topeka, Topeka, Kan.
While only nine races have been completed in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series, Don Schumacher Racing’s Ron Capps picked up his fourth Funny Car win

In Pro Stock action, Dave Connolly’s season continues to go uphill. After a

an unlikely season, at the line on Sunday.
Connolly holeshot KJ and didn’t look back on his way to his
6.836-second/201.70 mph win.
NASCAR Nextel Cup Series – Coca-Cola 600 – Lowe’s Motor Speedway,

The Ringers team of Penske Racing South had some hard luck during the
Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Sunday. It all started when Kurt Busch
was involved in a wreck early on, resulting in him finishing 39th.
His teammate Ryan Newman went 29 laps down during the race as they made
extensive repairs on the No. 12 Alltel Dodge for a loose wheel bearing, resulting
in a 35th place finish for Newman.
NASCAR Busch Series – Carquest Auto Parts 300 - Lowe’s Motor Speedway,
Concord, N.C.
On Saturday, Penske Racing South driver Kurt Busch piloted the No. 39 Penske
Truck Rental to a second place finish in the Carquest Auto Parts 300.
