                                      Chaney to sub for Hannagan!

 

(5/29/2006 Middletown, NY) One of the stars of the mean 15, The Hurricane
Randy Hannagan has taken a leave from his Brow & Miller, Terry Hannagan
Racing #1x Maxim to attend to family matters and will be utilizing the
services of Rob Chaney starting tonight at Orange County.  The Ohio native
subbed earlier in the year for the Hitman, Jason Martin while he recovered
from injuries sustained in a crash at East Bay raceway in February.  Chaney
picked up a top 10 and nearly a victory at Haubstadt when he recorded his
best World of Outlaws finish, 3rd.  Chaney also recorded two dash victories
and a "B" main win at Tucson.  Rob had been running with the All Star
Circuit of Champions when the call came from Randy Hannagan.

 

"I have raced with Randy for years." Said Rob.  "It's great that he respects
my ability and I look forward to the opportunity.  I hope to bring the team
some strong finishes.  They have a good team and good equipment and I am
just thankful for the chance."

 

Randy has quite a bit of confidence in the abilities of the Wooster, Ohio
native.  

 

"Yeah we have raced against each other quite a bit."  Said the Hurricane.
"He did a great job replacing Jason (Martin) and I know he will do a good
job for us.  He definitely takes care of equipment and can keep us in the
thick of the points race.  We have picked up a position now to 9th in owner
points and hopefully we can pick off some more spots.  I may return for El
Dora but that is the soonest and that may not happen.  I want to thank the
fans and the other drivers for all their support during this crisis."
