Will turned back at HPT

TOPEKA, Kan. (May 27, 2006) - Fighting very windy conditions on the
Heartland Park Topeka (HPT) track, Hillary Will was turned back by
Morgan Lucas in the opening round of the 18th annual NHRA O'Reilly
Summer Nationals. But every race is a learning experience for Will.

Lucas gained an advantage at the green staring light. Racing into a
head wind, Will covered the HPT quarter-mile in her KB Racing LLC-owned,
Kalitta Motorsports-managed Top Fuel dragster in 4.707 seconds at 305.08
mph. Lucas stopped the finish line clocks in 4.727 seconds, turning on
the win light.

"Every race I learn something which is what rookies are supposed to do,"
said Will. "I'll take what I learned here and apply it at the next race
in Chicago."

Will, crew chief Jim Oberhofer and his crew will stay an extra day at
HPT for a test session tomorrow before returning to the Kalitta
Motorsports shop in Ypsilanti, Mich.

For a replay of the Will-Lucas match up tune into ESPN2 which will air
three hours of same-day television coverage of eliminations from the
NHRA O'Reilly Summer Nationals at 10 p.m. this evening, May 28. The
elimination show repeats early Tuesday morning (May 30) from 3-5 a.m.
Television times are Eastern Time (ET) and subject to change at
anytime. Check local listings.

After a short break, next up for Will is the NHRA CARQUEST Auto Parts
Nationals, which will be held June 8-11 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet,
Ill., near Chicago.
