                Hindi makes some noise at the Grove now set for long week of
racing!

 

(5/28/06 Middletown, NY) Last evening at the famed Williams Grove Speedway,
Neon Dion Hindi let the crowd know that he is someone to keep an eye on when
the World of Outlaws return for the Summer Shootout.  Suffering from some
mechanical problems on the preliminary night Hindi came back in full force
setting quick time for the evening.  The RealTruck.com/Sniper Tuning J&J
would start 4th in the first heat and finish a strong 5th which put Dion
into the "B" but on the pole.  From the drop of Green the 11D took off and
never looked back, for a resounding win.  That would put the racer from
Albuquerque, NM into 11th starting position for the "A" main and be one of
the 8 Outlaw drivers to take the green.  As the race began and settled Hindi
would find himself in 12th and gaining on a PA Posse regular Greg Hodnett.
While entering turn 3 on lap 18 the rear end would let go and regulate a
disappointed Hindi to finish 22nd.  However the run reaffirmed what Hindi
already knew the season is turning around.

 

"Yes I am definitely disappointed." Said Hindi.  "In the drivers meeting
Donny (Schatz) gave me a few tips of where I needed to be in qualifying.  He
said it will feel slow but trust me you will be fast.  Well he was
definitely right.  In the heat I was searching for a line and by the time I
found it I had lost 4th place but the car felt great.  In the B we just
basically did not change anything and took off.  We had a top ten car and
when you have opportunities like tonight to gain points on those ahead of
you, you have to take advantage of it and we didn't.  The upside is we are
definitely on the right track, were fast in qualifying and the car
definitely races well.  We have 6 races in 7 days and it is an opportunity
to pick up cash and points, and that is exactly what we are going to do!"
