PERSONETT SETS NATIONAL TIME RECORD IN QUALIFYING FOR THE NHRA SPORT
COMPACT SUMMER NATIONALS
TOPEKA, Kan. - Brad Personett set a national time record of 6.47 seconds
in the second round of qualifying on the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing
Series history at the NHRA Sport Compact Summer Nationals at Heartland
Park Topeka.
Personett was able to gain his fourth No. 1 qualifier with the time and
a speed of 219.15 mph. Matt Scranton in his Ride Revolution Toyota
Solara qualified No. 2, and Gary White driving his Toyota Celica to the
No. 3 position.
The NHRA Sport Compact Summer Nationals at Heartland ParkTopeka continue
with eliminations on Sunday, May 28 at 11 a.m.
