Line starts from the No. 10 position at HPT

TOPEKA, Kan. (May 27, 2006) - With qualifying completed for the 18th
annual NHRA O'Reilly Summer Nationals at HPT - Heartland Park Topeka -
Jason Line, from Terrell, N.C., qualified in the No. 10 position.

On what will probably be a day that Topeka, Kan. sets a record for
highest temperature in the weather history book on this date, Line cover
the quarter-mile track at HPT in 6.836 seconds, the best of four
qualifying passes. In the other three passes, Line ran elapsed times of
6.851 seconds, 6.852 seconds, and 6.827 seconds.

"We at least save the best run for last and it gives a base to go into
tomorrow's eliminations with," said Line. "We're struggling with the
race track and our set up on this Summit Pontiac. We'll work at it for
tomorrow. It will be interesting. This is a tough place to race at -
the weather changes sometimes dramatically and you never know which way
the wind is going to blow. It makes for a definite chess match with the
track."

In the opening round of eliminations, Line, who is currently No. 2 in
NHRA POWERade Pro Stock point standings, will face Allen Johnson, who
qualified No. 7 with a pass of 6.827 seconds..

Line, behind the wheel of the KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro

Pro Stock title on Sunday, May 28, with eliminations for all classes
beginning at 11 a.m. All times are local Topeka time (CT) and subject
