Barjan Acquires Astatic Mobile Communications from Omnitronics; Sound Financials Enable Barjan to Strengthen Product Offering Through Strategic Acquisition of CB Equipment Manufacturer
ROCK ISLAND, Ill.--May 25, 2006--Barjan LLC ("Barjan" or "the Company"), the leading distributor of consumer products to travel centers, truck stops, car washes and convenience stores today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Astatic Mobile Communications business from Omnitronics, LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Barjan LLC is a portfolio company of Monomoy Capital Partners.Astatic Mobile Communication has been the acknowledged leading manufacturer of replacement microphones and other CB Radio equipment for over 70 years. An innovator in microphone technology, the Astatic brand is well-recognized in all of its markets, including truck stops, travel centers, marine, automotive, and original equipment manufacture. Gary Hill, current National Sales Manager of Astatic, will join Barjan as Director - Mobile Communications Division, and have responsibility for sales and category management of Barjan's mobile communication business.
