Camping World Announces Opening of Junction City, Oregon Store; Nation's Largest Retailer of RV and Outdoor Supplies and Accessories Opens Store Along Side Guaranty RV Centers
JUNCTION CITY, Ore.--May 24, 2006--Camping World, the nation's largest retailer of RV and outdoor supplies and accessories, today announced the opening of a new retail store in Junction City, Oregon. The store is co-located with Guaranty RV Centers at 93668 Highway 99 South.The much anticipated opening of Camping World of Junction City marks the fast growing retailer's 49th store. "Our employees are very excited about this opening and are eager to welcome RV and outdoor enthusiasts to the store," said Mike Hatch, General Manager of the new Camping World of Junction City store. "It's great to be in an area where people take recreation and the environment very seriously and one where the RV industry is an important part of the community and region. The new 33,000 square foot facility includes 13,000 of retail floor space and boasts 8,000 in stock RV and outdoor supplies and accessories. In addition to its six service bays, Camping World of Junction City has an advanced Performance Center with a specialist who has installation, maintenance and repair expertise on systems design for RVs such as suspension, steering stabilizers, airbags, and navigation among other.
The new building is also considered to be a "green facility" in that it is designed to conserve energy with 68 skylights and its own power inverter.
The brisk expansion of Camping World is well timed to respond to growing consumer demand as the outlook for the RV and RV supplies and accessories market burgeons, topping lists of US growth industries. A recent study by the University of Michigan's Survey Research Center found that one in 12 U.S. vehicle-owning households now own an RV. There are now 7.9 million households in the U.S. with a RV. This figure indicates a 58 percent rise in RV ownership since 1980.
