Turbine Truck Engines Announces Basic Engine Design for New E85 Ethanol Engine Completed
DELAND, Fla.--May 24, 2006--Turbine Truck Engines Inc.announced today that Company management was informed by Alpha Engines Corporation (AEC) that the basic engine designs for TTE's 540 Horsepower Detonation Cycle Gas Turbine Engine (DCGT) for Heavy Duty Highway Trucks has been completed. Having this basic engine design completed reduces the engine development time significantly once capital is available. Currently, we are in negotiations to secure a $10mil dollar equity line of credit and are talking to other fund managers about our company. This prototype will operate on E85 Ethanol. The DCGT Engine will revolutionize the Highway Truck Market and will help lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions and reduce our dependence on Gasoline and Oil.
AEC, A privately held research and Engineering Firm was founded in 1984 to continue the research of Robert L. Scragg, the developer and inventor of a new and innovative Electromagnetic Isothermal Combustion (EIC) process utilizing "Pulse Detonation" of Fuel-Oxidizer (Air) Mixtures. The Objective was to produce a new and revolutionary engine, powered by the EIC process that could operate on any type of fuel (Gasoline, Diesel, Propane, Natural Gas, Methanol, Ethanol, Coal and Hydrogen.) The first successful DCGT Engine was run in 1987. Three additional DCGT prototypes were designed, constructed and demonstrated by 1997. A Novel Patent with a 20 Year Life, a "Detonation Cycle Gas Turbine Engine System", U.S. Patent #6,000,214 was granted to Robert L. Scragg, Inventor, in December 1999. The DCGT can be designed for any engine application from 30 to 30,000 horsepower. AEC and its investors were able to accomplish this Unique Engine Development with a five million dollar investment.
