Ricky Rudd at Mid-Ohio

Ricky Rudd, NASCAR's "Iron Man," and one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers
will be at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24th, testing
with the Frisselle brothers, who compete in the Grand American Rolex Sports
Car Series.  It will be Ricky's first experience at Mid-Ohio, and I will be
holding a press conference around noon tomorrow, either in the tower or on
the track (I will keep you posted).  We are excited to have Ricky experience
Mid-Ohio, and we are hopeful that he may decide to join the Grand American
Series when it comes to Mid-Ohio for the EMCO Gears Classic presented by
KeyBank on June 23-25.  I do want to stress however, that we are hopeful
that this may happen; it is definitely not a done deal, and we are just
happy to have Ricky out on the new pavement.  

 

The Frisselle brothers, Brian (22) and Burt (24), are well known throughout
the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series, sharing the No. 8 Rx.com Porsche
Doran for the 2006 Rolex Series campaign.  I do believe there will be
several other cars out on track as well, but at this time, I am not sure who
will be there and the exact number of cars, but again, I will keep you
informed.
