Microheat Inc. Makes First Shipment to Japan with Installation on Daihatsu Vehicle Platform

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--May 23, 2006--Microheat, Inc., designers and manufacturers of the revolutionary HotShot hot washer fluid cleaning and de-icing system, announced the first shipment of HotShot to Japan for installation on the new Daihatsu Be-Go vehicle. HotShot will be offered on the platform as an accessory product through Daihatsu's dealership network in Japan.

Microheat and Daihatsu Motor Corporation are working together on additional vehicle applications for introduction to the marketplace later this year, with targeted market coverage outside Japan. The announcement is being made at the JSAE Annual Congress 2006 at the Pacifico Yokohama complex.

"Our first shipment to Japan is a major milestone for Microheat as we introduce this revolutionary technology into the Japanese marketplace," said Microheat President and CEO Gary Pilibosian. "Daihatsu is a leader in innovative, cutting-edge technologies and we are proud to work with the company."

Introduced commercially in 2002, HotShot features a patented cycling technology that intelligently heats fluid to an exact temperature and sprays the fluid at a precise time interval to quickly and efficiently remove snow, ice, bugs and road grime from vehicles. The all-season, all-weather system can be activated at vehicle start-up and maintains hot fluid for use by drivers on demand during normal driving conditions.

The acclaimed HotShot has been the recipient of numerous awards including: Finalist in 2006 PACE Awards, celebrating product and process innovations; Frost & Sullivan's 2005 Excellence in Emerging Technologies Best Practices Award; Popular Mechanics deemed it the "Outstanding Achievement in New Product Design and Innovation;" RoadStar Magazine and Newport Publications awarded Microheat in 2004.
