RAIN CLAIMS ANOTHER NORTHEAST FOCUS DATE; SEEKONK UP SATURDAY
SPARTA, Ky. – More inclement weather throughout New England claimed another
date on the Northeast Ford Focus Midget Car Series calendar over the
weekend, the second straight event for the series.
USAC and track officials are hopeful in rescheduling their race that was
called due to rain Saturday at Adirondack International Speedway in
Lowville, N.Y., the second straight weekend rain interfered with the series.
In the meantime, however, series competitors are gearing up for this
Saturday’s race at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. Nearly 20 cars are
expected for the first Northeast race of the season at the quarter-mile
track.
Nick Wean continues to head the point standings in part due his season
opening victory last month at Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut.
