"WEDNESDAY NIGHT THUNDER" IDLE THIS WEEK AFTER TWO STRAIGHT WASHOUTS

SPARTA, Ky. – USAC’s “Wednesday Night Thunder” series will remain idle this
week as planned, the third straight week in which no action will be made for
the midweek tripleheader series.

Last week’s scheduled events at the Mt. Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Ind.
was cancelled due to persistent rain across central Indiana, though cars and
drivers from the Regional, Indiana Ford Focus and Kenyon Midget Car Series
divisions all garnered track time between showers.

While heats were contested, all activity was scratched for the remainder of
the evening and no points were awarded.

Scott Thoman leads the points for the Regional Midgets, while Andy Baber II
and Sammy Imel are the top point scorers in the Indiana Ford Focus and
Kenyon Midget Car Series divisions respectively.
