Anderson out in round two

KIRKERSVILLE, Ohio (May 21, 2006) - Faced with difficult track
conditions all weekend, Greg Anderson, who was going after his fifth
consecutive win at this race, fell victim to Allen Johnson in the
quarterfinals of the 42nd annual NHRA Pontiac Performance Nationals
presented by Summit Racing Equipment.

Anderson, behind the wheel of the KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment
Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, covered the National Trail raceway quarter-mile
in 6.716 seconds. Johnson, who gained a .036 second advantage at the
green, took the win light in 6.734 seconds.

"I got beat on a hole shot. I was late and there is no excuse for
that," said Anderson. "He (Allen Johnson) did a better job of driving.

"We couldn't make my car fast all weekend. We're not sure why. We're
still scratching our heads on that one. We're a lot more than a little
puzzled. We not sure what we're going to do on the car end of it before
Topeka but I do know that on the driver end of it, I need to do a better
job of driving."

Anderson continues to hold the top spot in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock
point standings with 557 points. he leads teammate Jason Line by 30 points.

Next up for Anderson is the O'Reilly Summer Nationals at Heartland Park
Topeka (Kan.) over the Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28).
