For Immediate Release

Mineral Wells Ready to Host Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo This Weekend

TOPEKA, Kan. (May 19, 2006) - After nearly a month between rounds two
and three, just two weeks is all participants in this weekend's Tire
Rack(r) SCCA ProSolo National Series event at Mineral Wells get after
competing in California earlier this month.

Without the lengthy amount of time off, however, many drivers' skills
should still be sharp, providing enthusiasts who venture out to the
Mineral Wells Airport one heck of a show.

With a third-place showing in the Tire Rack(r) SCCA Solo National Tour
event at Houston, Brad Maxcy, of Allen, Texas, leads an impressive band
of A Stock competitors this weekend, driving his Wombat Motorsports 1994
Chevrolet Corvette. Daniel Heydlauff, of Colorado Springs, Colo., could
battle Maxcy for the class' top spot, driving his Facilities Contracting
Inc. 2004 Honda S2000, and Jim Hedderick, of Houston, Texas, in his
ProAm Auto/Apex Vinyl 2001 Porsche Boxter S, may do the same.

Some of Solo's best are lined up in C Stock for this weekend's tilt.
Darren DiSimo, of Coral Springs, Fla., already has one ProSolo C Stock
win to his credit (Walnut Ridge), and has his 1999 Mazda Miata back in
action this weekend. In order to earn another victory, however, he'll
have to outgun the likes of Michael Wootton, of Austin, Texas, who will
drive his own '99 Miata. If that wasn't enough, Donald Barnes, of
Chapel Hill, N.C., is also in the CS fold, driving his Tar Heel
Motorsports '99 Miata.

With 14 drivers entered, Super Stock is Mineral Wells' largest class,
and the quality of the list more than matches the quantity. After
placing second in SS two rounds ago, and first in CS last round, Matthew
Braun, of Northville, Mich., comes into the weekend riding a sizable
wave of momentum in his PowerPlug 2005 Lotus Elise. Among those looking
to thwart Braun's attempt at extending his top-two streak to three
events are teammates Robert Neff, of Allen, Texas, and co-driver Neal
Bellamy, of Grapevine, Texas, in the Equipe Rapide Sports Car Club 2002
Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

Ask five people who they think will walk away from this weekend with the
Ladies 1 class win, and you might get five different answers. Meredith
Brown, of Los Alamos, N.M., appears to have the edge, if there is one,
as she comes in having won the last two L1 contests.

Behind Brown and her Isotope Wheels, Automotive Professionals 1993
Toyota MR2, reigning C Stock Ladies National Champion Kyung Wootton, of
Austin, Texas, is in the mix in her 1999 Miata, along with Beth
McClure-Strelnieks, also of Austin. McClure-Strelnieks, in her Jungle
Cat Racing/www.lonestarcraft.com 2005 Mini Cooper S, was the last L1
winner (Walnut Ridge) prior to Brown's consecutive class wins.

Mindy Cooper, of Austin, in her Spokes/RTRT '99 Miata, and Sierra
Pedroza, of Round Rock, Texas, who is co-driving with
McClure-Strelnieks, could also factor into the top of the L1 leaderboard
by weekend's end.

Whoever takes the win in Ladies 2 will have earned it. Patty Tunnell,
of Superior, Colo., will be among those battling for the L2 win in her
CR Racing/BimmerHaus 1995 BMW M3. Also looking for the weekend's class
crown could be Mary Medicus, of Lafayette, Colo., in her Webb
Motorsports/Oasis Tan/Helix/Hotchkis 2006 Mini Cooper S, and Su Brude,
of Frisco, Texas, in her LG Motorsports/ARE/Janco 2004 Corvette.

Action from the Mineral Wells Airport begins Saturday at 9:15 a.m. The
second day is scheduled to start at 8 a.m., followed by the Hawk
Performance Super Challenge, which is slated for 1:30 p.m. All times
are central.
