New Honda U.S. Plant will be Somewhere in Midwest

Washington DC May 18, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that the $400 million U.S. plant Honda plans to build by 2008 will be located somewhere in the Midwest.

Honda officials would not indicate which Midwestern states are being considered for the plant or when a decision would be made, though Ohio and Indiana officials claim they are in the running for the site, reports AP. "We're in the final phases of our due-diligence process for selection," said senior Honda VP Larry Jutte.
