42ND ANNUAL PONTIAC PERFORMANCE NATIONALS
Presented by Summit Racing Equipment
NATIONAL TRAIL RACEWAY - COLUMBUS (KIRKERSVILLE) OHIO
MAY 18-21, 2006

Can 1, 2, 3 equal 4 for Line at Columbus?

KIRKERSVILLE, Ohio (May 18, 2006) - If numbers or patterns can predict
the future then Jason Line, who drives the Summit Racing Equipment
Pontiac for KB Racing LLC, will be in the winner's circle this weekend
for the 42nd Pontiac Performance Nationals presented by Summit Racing
Equipment, just as Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins was in the very first race
here in 1972.

The Wright, Minn.-native, who now resides in Terrill, N.C., had a rather
spectacular debut race when he lost in the first round in 2003 to Terry
Adams with his car sitting upside down - on its top - at the end of the
opening round. Line faired better in 2004 when he advanced to the
second round before losing to Dave Connolly. Then last year he had his
best outing at the Columbus event when he lost in the semifinals to Kurt
Johnson.

Round one in 2003, round two in 2004, and round three in 2005, it's all
in the numbers. You get the picture: round four, the final round, in 2006.

"I don't know anything about numbers predicting the future," said Line,
on the eve of the event that is sponsored by two of his major marketing
partners, Pontiac and Summit Racing Equipment. "I do know that as close
together as these Pro Stock cars run, the final round is open to anyone
who makes the field. Yes, that somebody could be me. This KB Racing
team will certainly be out there trying this weekend. We'd like to be
the first repeat winner this year. If that happens then I will
definitely be talking numbers."

Line, who won the Bristol race last month, now has 16 final round
appearances and nine wins since turning pro in 2003. He has also earned
the No. 1 qualifying spot six times, with two of the six coming this season.

Entering qualifying for the 42nd Pontiac Performance Nationals presented
by Summit Racing Equipment, Line is anchored in the No. 2 position in
the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock point standings with 451 points. He is just
53 points behind his teammate Greg Anderson, who sits atop the standings.

Qualifying for Line and his KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro
Stock Pontiac GTO begins on the quarter-mile track at National Trail
Raceway in Kirkersville, Ohio, just outside Columbus, with two Pro Stock
sessions on Friday, May 19, scheduled for 4:30 and 7 p.m. and concludes
with two additional Pro Stock sessions on Saturday, May 20, at 12 noon
and 2:30 p.m. Line begins his quest for the Pontiac Performance
Nationals Pro Stock title on Sunday, May 21, with eliminations for all
classes beginning at 11 a.m. All times are local Columbus time (ET) and
subject to change at anytime.

Qualifying highlights for the 42nd Pontiac Performance Nationals
presented by Summit Racing Equipment can be seen on ESPN2 on Saturday
evening (May 20) from 10 p.m. until 12 midnight. ESPN2 will also air
same-day television coverage of eliminations from 8 until 11 p.m. on

POWERade Pro Stock Championships (2003-2005). Line finished third in
the 2005 POWERade point standings and was honored with the 2004
