PR - ITMN Launches Short Track Contingency Program

INSIDE TRACK MOTORSPORT NEWS LAUNCHES NEW
SHORT TRACK CONTINGENCY 'FREE AD' PROGRAM

For immediate release // May 16, 2006

TORONTO, ON - Inside Track Motorsport News is proud to announce the
creation of an exciting new multi-track contingency program that will
benefit the racers, sponsors and teams who compete at 11 of Ontario's top
weekly grassroots short track facilities.
As part of the initiative, racers at these speedways will receive
free ad space in the year-end review issues of Inside Track, in which they
can publicly recognize the support of the sponsors, crew members and fans
who have backed their racing efforts in 2006.
The top 10 finishing points racers, in four track-designated
divisions at each of the participating speedways, are eligible for free
'Thank Your Sponsors' ads in Inside Track. If all of them take advantage of
the award opportunity, Inside Track's review issues will include 440 such
ads, shining a light of gratitude on the sponsors and crews who are the
lifeblood of Canadian short track racing.
"Inside Track is the only monthly motorsports publication in the
world that covers Canadian stock car racing," said co-publisher Greg
MacPherson. "By giving free ad space in Inside Track to the grassroots
racers at these speedways, we're giving them a voice in the one place they
know it will be heard by their sponsors, teams and fans. Racers are always
looking for ways to get exposure for their sponsors, to help them justify
their support of their programs. We think our new contingency program is an
incredible way of helping them to do just that."
For 2006, the participating facilities include: Barrie Speedway,
Brighton Speedway, Delaware Speedway, Lucas Oil Flamboro Speedway, Kawartha
Speedway, Mosport Speedway, Ohsweken Speedway, Peterborough Speedway,
Steelback Sauble Speedway, Sunset Speedway and Varney Speedway. A similar
program is also in place at Merrittville Speedway.
Qualified award winners will receive a free '1 unit' ad in ITMN (1
column x 1.75"). If the individual is a 'subscriber in good standing' to
Inside Track by the time the review issues go to press, the size of the ad
award is doubled (2 columns x 1.75") so that a photo can be included.
And to guarantee that these 'Thank Your Sponsors' ads are seen by their
intended targets, Inside Track will deliver 10 free copies (total) to each
ad recipient's sponsors and crew members. The value of each
'subscriber-level' award including the free 2" x 4" ad and the 10 free
issues is $400!
"The reaction to this new initiative has been incredible," said
co-publisher Rob Morton. "This new 'free ad' contingency program allows us
to offer something of lasting value to the racers and their sponsors. We
hope it's something they embrace to its fullest potential. When you combine
our unequalled year-round coverage of these facilities with the rock-bottom
racer subscription price of $29.99, we believe every competitor at every
one of these tracks will see the benefit of becoming a subscriber to Inside
Track."
