Scott Taylor seeks 7th CORR Championship in 2006
The off-season had Scott Taylor and his team building, from the ground up a new Ford F-150 PRO-2 race truck. It had been several years since the team had tackled such a task. Scott and his team engineer, Russ Wernimont, applied their knowledge and experience to the “standardized” chassis design and believe they came up with a winner.
Last week the team completed their final testing at Crandon, made a few shock adjustments to the Skyjacker engineered suspension, and deemed the truck ready for competition. Over the weekend the latest Roush Performance powerplant was installed, and then the team loaded the transporter and headed for San Diego.
“This winter we really had our work cut out for us. We knew that to bring the 2006 PRO-2 Championship back to Taylor Racing, a new truck had to be built. Russ Wernimont and I sat down last November and began the process. Once again, I am really proud of everyone at the shop who put in the long hours to make this possible,” commented Scott Taylor.
For the 2006 Lucas Oil CORR series, Scott Taylor is proud to have all his marketing partners on board from the 2005 season.
