Racing Concludes at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Event at Firebird Raceway

  Perkin and Hentges Winners in Boise
   
  
              Boise, Idaho – Racing concluded today at the 36th Annual Napa Auto Parts Ignitor presented by Dan Wiebold Ford, a round of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.  Bruce Perkin of Maple Grove, B.C. was the big winner in Comp Eliminator and Dustin Hentges of Olympia, Wash., took home a trophy in Top Comp.
              Perkin ran 8.937 seconds at 151.71 mph in his ’87 Trans Am to defeat Jeff Lane of North Bend, Wash.  Hentges found himself in the winner’s circle running a pass of 7.460 seconds at 182.51 mph.  Hentges defeated Quentin Chambers of Bellingham, Wash.
              Super Street driver, Leon Elliot of Marysville, Wash., came away victorious defeating Brett Waldron of Port Angeles, Wash.  Elliot ran his ’67 Camaro 11.212 seconds at 128.86 mph and Waldron also driving a ’67 Camaro finished with a pass of 11.228 seconds at 137.50 mph.
               Wayne Linder Jr. of Sunnyside, Wash., was the Super Gas Winner.  Linder’s pass of 9.214 seconds at 169.20 mph was good enough to beat Ken Heard from Ridgefield, Wash., who ran 10.186 seconds at 139.75 mph.
                Tacoma, Wash., native Mike Henderson won in Super Comp defeating Anthony Castillo of Grandview, Wash.  Henderson ran a pass of 9.214 seconds at 169.20 mph in his Dragster.  In Super Stock, Mike Lewis of Bonney Lake, Wash., made a pass of 11.305 seconds at 118.28 mph to defeat Woodburn, Ore., native Jim Caughlin.
               Mary Ann Method finished the day on top in Stock Eliminator.  In her '69 Nova she defeated Jeff Lane of North Bend, Wash.
               The Sportsman Motorcycle category ended with Mike Scott of Bonney Lake, Wash., taking home the prize defeating Miles Hauer of Seattle, Wash.
               Randy Johnson of Bothell, Wash., was the big winner in the Top Sportsman Dart Dash with a time of 7.732 seconds at 176.71 mph.  Larry Azcuenaga from South Jordan, Utah was the runner-up with a time of 7.419 seconds at 181.63 mph.
