Midwest Ford Focus Midget Seasons Open This Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS – The opening races for both the USAC Midwest Ford Focus
Pavement and Dirt Midget Car Series divisions occur this weekend, one each
in Ohio.

Limaland Motorsports Park hosts the season opener Friday for the Midwest
Ford Focus Dirt Midget Car Series, while Columbus Motor Speedway gives the
Midwest Ford Focus Pavement Midget Car Series its season debut Saturday.

This is the first season the Midwest region has two separate divisions,
expanding to dirt and pavement series following last season, mirroring the
direction the California Ford Focus divisions took in 2005.

Two-time defending Midwest Ford Focus Midget Car Series champion Tate Martz
is expected compete at Lima and said he may be among the entries at
Columbus.
