IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY TO HOST ULTIMATE
NASCAR VIEWING PARTY

MAY 20 WITH RACING ACTION ON THE TRACK AND ON THE GIANT
SCREEN

IRWINDALE, Calif. (May 15, 2006) –
Motor racing fans will be able to participate in the ultimate NASCAR viewing
party at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday, May 20.

During its NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series
races on that evening, Irwindale Speedway will simultaneously air FX Network’s
broadcast of the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge on a giant screen. The screen
will be positioned in the infield of the 1/2-mile oval, directly across from the
main grandstand, providing spectators with an unobstructed view of the broadcast
while watching racing action on the track. It is believed to be the first time
any short oval track facility has made this type of an arrangement.

“When NASCAR Nextel Cup races are
broadcast on Saturday night, we know that our fans sometimes have to make a
choice between staying home to watch the television broadcast and coming to
Irwindale Speedway,” said Bob DeFazio COO and General Manager of Irwindale
Speedway. “Now, our fans won’t need to make that choice and will experience
great racing on the track and on the giant screen!”

DeFazio continued stating, “We’ve
discussed this concept internally and with NASCAR for some time. We appreciate
NASCAR’s support to help make this happen and if the reaction of our fans is
positive, we’ll consider doing it again.”

FX Network coverage of the NASCAR
Nextel All-Star Challenge begins at 4 p.m. PDT (7 p.m. EDT). To accommodate fans
who do not want to miss any of the broadcast coverage, Irwindale Speedway will
open its gates at 3 p.m., one hour earlier than normal.

Racing action on the track will include
the Auto Club Late Models, Vista Paint Super Stocks, King Taco Super Trucks,
Snap-On Tool Mini Stocks, Pick Your Part Figure 8’s and a Demolition Derby. The
King Taco fan appreciation autograph session will take place on the track at
5:45 p.m. where spectators will be able to meet the drivers and crew members.
The first green flag waves at 7 p.m.
