LIVERMORE'S CHRIS VEACH WINS FIRST FOCUS RACE; BROTHERS LOOKING FOR THIRD
STRAIGHT

INDIANAPOLIS – Chris Veach joined his younger brother Cameron on Saturday as
a feature winner at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif., and now the
two hope to continue their success in this weekend’s next event.

Chris Veach won Saturday’s 25-lap season-opening California Ford Focus
Pavement Midget Car Series race at Altamont, leading the final 12 laps in
his No. 63 family-owned machine after getting around rookie Ian Miille, who
led 12 of the first 13 laps. Following were Tim Skoglund, Michael Faccinto,
Nic Faas and Jenna Frazier.

Garrett Peterson also led one lap in the feature. Cameron Veach and Levi
Roberts won 10-lap heat races.

Competitors now shift their focus to this Saturday’s event at Ventura
(Calif.) Raceway, part of the USAC California Ford Focus Dirt Midget Car
Series schedule. Cameron Veach won the last race for the series at Ventura
on April 22.
