The Internet Truckstop Reports Record Usage for CPR

NEW PLYMOUTH, Idaho--May 15, 2006--The Internet Truckstop: Since launching the "C"arrier "P"erformance "R"ating (CPR) service one year ago to broker, 3PL and Logistics customers, The Internet Truckstop reports a record month of carrier performance reporting by brokers. In the month of April Internet Truckstop broker customers submitted over 250 new reports on carriers. "Since we started collecting data a year ago we have received over 2,300 carrier reports from brokers and shippers," explained Sonny Smith, Credit Services Director for The Internet Truckstop. "A small percentage of the reports submitted are compliments on carriers that have performed well by meeting all the requirements detailed in their load confirmations. The majority of the reports submitted, however, are for poor performance involving unacceptable behaviors such as no-shows and holding loads hostage." The CPR database contains reports on carriers that are both members and non-members of the Internet Truckstop.

"The CPR product is the only real time carrier performance reporting and rating system in the industry," states Internet Truckstop President Scott Moscrip. "We launched this service in response to broker members requests for a real time accurate rating process; the results and usage has far exceeded our expectations." The CPR system currently issues reports for over 40,000 trucking companies. These reports provide brokers with a performance rating on an A-F scale, company profile information, DOT safety, authority and insurance information as well as performance reports submitted by other members.

"Consistent with our strategy of providing real time decision support information that is better, faster and cheaper, we believe that CPR has become the default industry standard when it comes to carrier performance rating and reporting," explains Moscrip. Since CPR is a month-to-month web application, users always access the most up to date information on a carrier. CPR has fast become a vital tool for pre-qualifying carriers based on their overall performance.

The Internet Truckstop represents North America's largest freight and information management network with over 120,000 users completing and accessing over 1.5 Million transactions and reports per day. Our volume allows us to provide you with a critical mass of information making CPR the most valuable and most used carrier performance rating system in the industry.
