AMIS Holdings, Inc. Announces Annual Stockholder Meeting to be Held May 17, 2006

POCATELLO, Idaho--May 15, 2006--AMIS Holdings, Inc. , parent company of AMI Semiconductor, a designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art integrated mixed-signal products and structured digital products for the automotive, medical and industrial sectors, will hold its 2006 annual stockholders meeting on May 17, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. MT at the Grand America Hotel located at 555 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Those who cannot attend the meeting in person can access a live audio web broadcast via the investor relations section of the AMIS Web site at www.amis.com/investor_relations. A webcast replay will be available until May 31, 2006.

March 21, 2006 was established as the record date for determining stockholders entitled to vote at the meeting.
